She's so peaceful, meditative almost. And there's something so ancient-seeming about this piece, as though she was once a part of a Greek or Mycenean temple.
However, I think the more prominent influences are Polynesian and Indian this time. Having said that, the Sleeping Princess is just one outcome of looking at a great many sculptures and stone carvings both in-the-round and from reproductions over a considerable number of years.
